CHILD, Inc. ProgramsHead Start is a part day program for pre-school children that operates from September through May. Children may attend mornings from 8:00 to 11:30 AM or afternoons from 12 noon to 3:30 PM. Head Start includes eight home visits per year to each child's family. For more information on the Head Start program, please contact Timothy Long.Early Head Start is a year round home based program for infants/toddlers and their families. It also includes first time expectant parents. CHILD, Inc. staff visit each family once per week for one and one-half hours. Home base families also attend a child development center one morning per week. Activities include a parent support group, parent-child activities, opportunity to socialize with other parents, and a family meal. For more information on the Early Head Start program, please contact Michelle Mathiesen. Extended Day Child Care CHILD Inc offers year-round childcare. Full-day care is available for children six weeks to kindergarten age and includes four home visits/parent conferences per year. Parents are assigned hours based on their work schedules. Therapeutic Child Care (Kids Connect)
CHILD, Inc. is a state
provider of Therapeutic Child Care (TCC). TCC is designed
around the specific needs of children who may otherwise be unable to
experience inclusion in a typical day care setting due to behavioral,
emotional or medical issues. Funded by the Department of Human
Services and accessed through one of the state CEDARR centers,
CHILD, Inc. can provide additional resources and support to eligible
children within the classroom. For more information, please contact Paul
Taraborelli Individual Child Therapy (Project First Steps) CHILD, Inc. has the ability to provide individual child centered therapy to enrolled children and their families. CHILD, Inc.’s Licensed Independent Clinical Social Workers provide Diagnostic Psychosocial Assessments and individual treatment when a need is indicated. We also offer outpatient mental health service to children ages two to six and their families who may not be enrolled in one of CHILD Inc.’s programs at each center.
