Arrival and Departure Times

If your child is enrolled in extended day, arrival and departure times will be assigned according to your work schedule. We have limited staff on duty prior to 9:00 AM and after 3:00 PM, so every parent’s cooperation is critical to the safety and well-being of the children.

Snow Policy / Program Cancellations

If Public Schools close in the city/town where your child attends, part day Head Start and Early Head Start Family Day activities are automatically cancelled.

If the weather is severe enough to warrant closing all agency activities announcement will be made on WPRO AM and FM radio stations.

CHILD, Inc. Release of Children Policy

All parents or guardians are required to fill out an emergency form stating who has permission to pick up their child either from the bus or at the center. If someone other than the parent/guardian will be picking up the child, they must call the office so we may notify the teacher. We will only release children to people whose names appear on the emergency form. Any person on this list will be asked to present a picture identification.

If an emergency situation should require that a parent phone in another person to pick up the child, the teacher shall talk to the parent to properly verify it is the parent making the request.

Any changes to be made in emergency information must be made in person with either the Family Worker or classroom Teacher.
